FILICARE Services was founded on a simple belief: professional service should always be guided by genuine care for people.
My professional journey began in the Philippines as a pharmacist and medical technologist, where I learned the importance of knowledge, responsibility, precision, and service. Over the years, however, I came to understand that some of the most meaningful lessons in service happen beyond the workplace in the human connections we build and in the lives we have the opportunity to touch.
A defining lesson came from my former employer, Dr. Mansour Bendago, whose words have remained with me throughout my journey:
“To help someone in need, you don’t just watch them you must do something for them.”
Those words shaped my understanding of what meaningful service truly means. Compassion is not simply recognizing a need: it is having the willingness and responsibility to respond.
I was also profoundly influenced by the legacy of kindness of Dr. Sydney Taylor and Mrs. Ethel Taylor, whose generosity, compassion, and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression on my life. Their example reinforced the belief that how we treat people — how we choose to serve them can create a legacy that continues long after the moment has passed.
These values became part of the foundation upon which FILICARE Services was built.
Today, FILICARE brings together professional expertise, dependable service, and personal care across our Home Support Services, Janitorial Services, and Staffing Solutions. While each service addresses a different need, they are united by the same commitment: to serve people and organizations with professionalism, respect, integrity, and care.
For me, FILICARE is both a professional responsibility and a personal tribute to the people whose example helped shape my path. Their lessons continue to remind me that service is not only about what we do-it is about how we do it, why we do it, and the difference it makes in the lives of others.
